This rare beauty is a museum quality piece of art that brings the style of the late 1800s back to life thanks to the recreation of German steinmasters artists.
Based on a historic original piece, a few generations before us saw this stein for the first time when created by the famous stein designer Peter Duemler in 1875. A revival of ancient archives of times gone by was the attraction of the time in high elites and a tribute to the legendary King Solomon was then created by the German sculptor.
This stein features King Solomon on his horse on the front of the stein. On each side we can appreciate the Goddess of Justice with the scales of justice and the Goddess of Fortune with the lion symbolising wealth and power. Cherubs and demons are surrounding the main 3 characters to give a realistic almost medieval detail of the forces of good and evil in constant battle. On the base of the stein we can appreciate the famous temple of King Solomon, according to the poems and stories of the time.
This stein has been recreated with extensive detail and handsculpted with detailed raised relief. It has an ornamental pewter lid which adds to the solemn quality of this work of art.
The intials of the sculptor are engraved on each one of the 3 medallions with the main chacaters.
This is definitively a piece for the serious collector or the history lover.
